fracture
tongue twisted air,
lost in the vacuum of time.
your crooked glare,
stuck like a needle in mine.
cold moulded breath,
falls like the ash from cigarettes.
and i'm adrift,
inside the spaces in you.
and your eyes painted the sand,
that i let slip through my hands.
these rabid dogs,
that sick the culture of man,
lay on their heels,
and lick the palm of my hand.
my baited breath,
pulls like kite string round my neck.
and i'll ride the wind,
to try to understand you.
and your eyes painted the sand,
that i let slip through my hands.
i'll fall as fast as i can,
across the sun and ocean.
the eyes on you,
they make me wonder.
don't recognise the blue.
a storm obscures the thunder.
